Dear Friends,
As we close out August, I am filled with gratitude for the incredible community that continues to stand behind Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay and the young people we serve across our nine-county service area.
This month, I want to extend a very special thank you to Board Member, Katie MacFarlan, and co- host Brad Oleshansky, the entire Motor Enclave team, and co-host Jeff Gigante from Next Level Brands Hospitality for including Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay in two incredible signature events: Guys Night Out: Cars & Comedy and Cars En Coffee. These events brought thousands of community members together and provided an incredible platform to share our mission, raise awareness of the urgent need for mentors, and introduce new people to the opportunity to become a Big.
As we look ahead to September, we are excited to celebrate National Big Brothers Big Sisters Month. This is an important opportunity to shine a light on the power of mentorship and the incredible relationships that change lives every day. I am deeply grateful for every Big Brother, Big Sister, and Big Couple who continues to support our organization and helps us uplift and transform the lives of our Littles across our nine counties.
We also recently gathered for our Annual Meeting, a special time to celebrate the impact our agency has made over the past year. Together, we recognized our outstanding community and corporate partners, board members and heard an inspiring mentoring match story that beautifully showcased the life-changing power of mentorship. It was a meaningful reminder that behind every statistic is a young person whose life is being shaped by the presence of someone who believes in them.
Thank you for being part of this work and for believing in the potential of every young person in our community. As we head into September, I hope you will join us in celebrating mentorship, and help us share with even more people that it takes little to be big.
