OPEN POSITIONS
The primary goal of this position is to implement Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay’s promise to be there for Littles in their lives after high school graduation as it now extends to both post-secondary efforts and career placement. The program will serve Alumni Littles through age 26 with additional support and guidance in helping them make educational and career decisions. This goal is for Alumni Littles to be enrolled, employed, or enlisted after high school graduation so they will have a livable wage by age 26. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay will also provide additional services to Littles beginning in high school to give them additional skills and training to assist them in planning and setting goals for life after high school such as career planning, enrolling in post-secondary educational, assistance with financial aid, developing workplace skills, applying for scholarships, writing resumes, and applying and interviewing for jobs.
Other responsibilities include, but not limited to:
• Develop and maintain relationships with Alumni Littles who are in transition, to Employment, Enrollment in College/University/Technical College, or Enlistment in the Military.
• Minimum quarterly contact for new graduates, more contacts may be needed based on Alumni Little’s individual need. Documenting all contacts and attend in-person meetings, as needed.
• Cultivate, manage, and steward relationships with College/Universities/Career Colleges/Technical Schools to advance Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay’s reach and impact.
• Assist Alumni Littles with creating success plans that may include training, coaching, negotiating, conflict resolution, and skill-building.
• Plan and provide bi-monthly skill building or educational trainings to Alumni Littles, current high school Littles, and their Bigs.
• Be a backup if needed and assist the School-to-Work team with site visits, data collection, and Littles training coordination and implementation.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
• Minimum two years’ experience working with young adults and teens.
• Experience working in post-secondary education and knowledge of post-secondary educational system preferred.
• Proficiency in technical areas such as Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, Access, and Excel.
Position home base: Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay's Pinellas office in Largo
Position work schedule: Varied; 30 hours per week.
Summary: The Engagement & Retention Coordinator (ERC) for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay (BBBS-TB) primary responsibilities include supporting key retention strategies and reducing our agency’s overall turnover rate. The ERC will act as staff’s liaison for all trainings, surveys, wellness, and recognition programs.
Responsibilities:
o Primary focus on promoting employee retention at our agency.
o Recruitment: posting open positions, resume screening, and assisting with hiring decisions.
o Onboarding: Order and administer drug screening tests, background checks, and employment verification for new hires/candidates. Ensures candidate’s backgrounds, education, and preparation of offers of employment are completed. References are verified before employee hire date; Collects pre-hire documents; IT/Computer requests, Payroll, Benefit Portal, BBBSA national accounts are set up.
o Conducts new hire orientations.
o Maintain personnel records.
o Serve as point of contact for staff benefit providers.
o Responsibility for updating monthly turn over report.
o Responsibility for scheduling and or conducting training and development programs for BBBS-TB staff.
o Assist with Human Resource compliance.
o Payroll backup.
o Conducts exit interviews and reports and disseminates on trends.

o Associate or Bachelor’s in human resources management or related field

Essential to the BBBS brand, the primary function of this position is providing high-level customer service throughout the effective implementation of the child/parent enrollment and volunteer enrollment and matching process in accordance with the Big Brothers Big Sisters program options. The Candidate will be responsible for enrollment and matching volunteers and children throughout Hillsborough or Pinellas County areas primarily and other counties as assigned. Candidate must be willing to travel to in-person appointments to complete interviews and fingerprints in various communities.
Minimum Bachelor's degree in Social Services, Human Services, or related field. Minimum two years' experience working with both child and adult population; specific assessment preferred. Proficiency in technical areas such as: Microsoft OFFICE, including Work, Outlook, and Excel. Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and meet state required automobile insurance minimums.

The Candidate will be responsible for enrollment and matching volunteers and children throughout Hillsborough or Pinellas County areas primarily and other counties as assigned. Candidate must be willing to travel to in-person appointments to complete interviews and fingerprints in various communities.

Essential to the BBBS brand, the primary function of this position is to provide match support to ensure child safety, positive impact for youth, constructive and satisfying relationships between children and volunteers, and a strong sense of affiliation with BBBS on the part of volunteers. The successful incumbent will produce positive outcomes in the following areas: match closure rate, match retention rate, average match length, volunteer rematch rate, and customer satisfaction. This position is responsible for proving high-level customer service throughout the effective implementation of supporting and maintaining matches in accordance with the Big Brothers Big Sisters brand, and program options. This position will work out of our Tampa, FL office.
Minimum Bachelor's degree in Social Services, Human Services, or related field. Candidate must be Fluent Bilingual in English/Spanish Speaking. Minimum two years’ experience working with both child and adult populations; specific assessment preferred. Proficiency in technical areas such as Microsoft OFFICE; including Word, Outlook, and Excel. Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and meet state-required automobile insurance minimums.
Service area- Hillsborough County
Essential to the BBBS brand, the primary function of this position is to provide match support to ensure child safety, positive impact for youth, constructive and satisfying relationships between children and volunteers, and a strong sense of affiliation with BBBS on the part of volunteers. This is a hybrid position that includes supporting mentoring relationships in the community-based and school/site-based programs throughout Hillsborough County. The candidate will be responsible for recruiting youth at partner schools by working with school contacts, attending school events as well as making and supporting mentoring relationships in both programs.
The successful incumbent will produce positive outcomes in the following areas: match closure rate, match retention rate, average match length, volunteer rematch rate, and customer satisfaction. This position is responsible for providing high-level customer service throughout the effective implementation of supporting and maintaining matches in accordance with the Big Brothers Big Sisters brand, and program options.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay pairs youth with a caring adult mentor to help them reach their full potential. We are seeking dedicated and passionate people to provide support to our matches and community partners as one of our School-to-Work Coordinators. The School-to-Work program is a 2-year program for high school students where they are matched with a professional mentor and go to the workplace one time a month to meet with their mentor. The School-to-Work Coordinator is responsible for guiding and supporting each match to ensure success. In addition, the Coordinator will help identify goals to help each youth successfully transition out of high school. The coordinator is also responsible for building positive relationships with schools and workplace partners. This position may cover schools/partners in Polk and surrounding counties.
