Charles Edward Manly II Endowment

Charles Edward Manly, II a long-time Big Brother in Tampa who was matched with Little Brother Frederick, believed whole-heartedly in Big Brothers Big Sisters. Helping others in need meant the world to him. After he passed away, his parents and other family members continue to donate in his honor. Rather than receive or give birthday/anniversary presents, friends and family instead donate to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay, Inc.

Charles’ parents wanted to make his legacy a permanent one: in 2009, Dr. Lewin and Rita Manly, Jr. established the agency’s very first endowment, with a $10,000 donation. In 2012, the Charles Edward Manly, II Endowment reached $25,000! Now, the interest from the Endowment will be used each year to match a child with a mentor forever. Charles was a wonderful example for others; a special thanks to his loving family and friends who will make sure other children will have a special mentor in their lives.
